Jesus tells us, “Whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst.” Come and quench your thirst at our Discovering Christ sessions beginning September 8th. Discovering Christ is a free seven-week series with a life-changing retreat. You will enjoy a delicious dinner and listen to an enlightening teaching. After, you will join others in exploring the meaning of life and the identity of Jesus Christ. Childcare is available. These sessions will be held at St. Julie’s. All Parents who have children registered for St. Peter's PSR are asked to attend this very important and informative Parent Meeting on Monday, August 18th at 7:00pm in the School Gym.

Join Father Bob for a book study, “Searching for and Maintaining Peace” by internationally acclaimed retreat master and author Fr. Jacques Philippe. With all the agitation in the world and in our own hearts at times, this book will guide us in how to deal with those things that tend to make us lose our peace. This five week book discussion will begin on Wednesday, August 27 and the following Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM in the St. Peter Galilee Room at the Parish Center. Parent & Student Orientation for Confirmation: August 24th at 7:00pm in the School Gym. This meeting is for those in St. Peter’s Day School and PSR.

If you plan on having your child attend PSR this coming school year, please register them now. Grades K through 7 will register here: www.stpeternr.org/psr-registration. There will be a PSR Parent Meeting on August 18th at 7pm in the Gym, Open House on August 25th at 6:30pm, and the First Evening of PSR Classes will be Monday, September 8th.

All Parents and PSR Students are cordially invited to the PSR Open House on Monday, August 25th at 6:30pm in St. Peter School. Come see your child's classroom, visit with the teacher and pick up the books for this year. Come and see!

Our next Community Outreach Meal will be held on Wednesday, August 27th in the Parish Gym. Doors open at 5:30pm and dinner is served from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. All are Welcomed!

CONSIDERING BECOMING CATHOLIC? O.C.I.A. can help! The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults can help you if: You have questions about the Catholic Faith, Have thought about joining the Church, but are not sure how to do this, You want to brush up on your faith lessons since grade school, or your spouse wants to join the Church. The 2nd Graders will be preparing for their First Holy Communion. All those attending St. Peter School and PSR who are planning to celebrate this Sacrament must register at https://www.stpeternr.org/first-holycommunion-preparation. Please note that a copy of their Baptism Certificate, if baptized at a Church other than St. Peter’s, must also be provided.

If your 8th Grader attends St. Peter's day school or PSR, please register him for Confirmation by clicking here. Your child must be registered by July 31st. There is a mandatory Parent/Student orientation meeting on Sunday, August 24th at 7pm.

Fr. Bob Franco is leading a pilgrimage to Rome, Assisi, San Giovanni Rotundo (the monastery of St. Padre Pio) and other religious sites during the Holy Year 2025. The ten-day pilgrimage will be October 20-October 29, 2025. This will be a joyful time of encountering the Lord, perhaps traveling with old friends and making new friends. The next Women’s Fellowship Breakfast will be on September 13th, 2025 at St. Julie's from 8:30am until 10:00am. Join us for a delicious breakfast, to share our faith, and meet other women. Consider joining us for Mass on Labor Day, Monday, September 1st. Mass will be at St Julie Parish only (NO Mass at St. Peter) at 9:00am. What a great way to thank the Lord for blessing the work of our hands and giving us some extra time to rest from our labors.

A mini food pantry, also known as a "Blessing Box," is a small structure where people can donate and collect basic necessities such as nonperishable food items, toiletries, and other essential items. It's a simple and accessible way for the community to support each other by providing for those in need. If you would like to donate, the Blessing Box is located next to the parish office.

The Walking with Moms in Need program, is a joint ministry of St. Julie and St Peter parishes. Walking with Moms Need is a national Catholic organization. The primary goal is to assure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church to find the help she needs.
