With great joy and gratitude to God, we are pleased to announce that one of our own parishioners, Deacon Mitch Carson, will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 16, 2027 at St. John’s Cathedral. Deacon Mitch has been a faithful member of our parish community, and we rejoice as he answers God’s call to serve the Church as a priest. His dedication, prayerfulness, and commitment have been a blessing to all who know him. All are invited to join in celebrating this special occasion by attending his Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 17th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s. A reception will follow immediately after Mass in the parish gym, where we can gather in fellowship and congratulate Father Mitch.

Join us for the St. Julie & St. Peter Women's Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, May 9th from 8:30 - 10:00a.m. Breakfast will be served at St. Julie Billiart Church. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and a talk by Fr. Isidore on "Ways to Increase Your Peace in Today's World". Please keep our young people in your prayers in a special way over the next few weeks. Our 8th graders from St. Julie and St. Peter will make their Confirmation on Monday, May 11th. What a joy it is for our faith community to rejoice with these students!

Please join us for the St Julie & St Peter Men's Fellowship breakfast on Saturday, May 16th @ 8:20 am. Breakfast will be served in St. Peter's Gym. Open to men of any parish in the Diocese, come and enjoy a hearty, hot breakfast followed by a short video and discussion. We will end promptly at 9:45 am. Registration for Confirmation in 2027 is NOW OPEN!! The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated for both St. Julie and St. Peter 8th Graders on May 12, 2027 at St. Peter Church. To register please visit https://www.stpeternr.org/confirmation-preparation.

Middle School students (grades 6-8) will be gathering in St. Peter's Apostles Hall on May 14th, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Join us for an evening of fellowship, faith, and fun! All are welcome. Bring your Bible!

It’s that time of the year when all ministries and organizations must think about meeting dates and times for the 2026-2027 calendar year (July 2026 through June 2027). If you plan on using parish facilities for your meetings, then please complete the Facility Scheduling Form even if you have long-standing regularly scheduled meetings. The form is available on our website (www.stpeternr.org/calendar-scheduling-facilities ) and in the racks in the Church. It can be submitted to Cheryle Koberna at [email protected] or it can be dropped off at the parish Center. It would be much appreciated if the form is submitted by May 20, 2026.

Campaign Status (as of 5/3/2026): Original Pledge $2,277,148.94 Donations Received: $3,133,196.07 Outstanding Pledges: $334,450.06 Participants: 475 Goal:  $2,500,000.00 - $3,000,000.00. As the weather begins to warm and flowers start to bloom, we'd like to remind everyone that St. Peter's Rosary Garden is open and available to all. It's a peaceful place for reflection, prayer, and quiet moments - a little oasis of calm in the midst of busy days. Come visit, pray the rosary, and enjoy the beauty and peace the garden offers. It is located behind the Parish Center.

"Walking with Moms in Need" is a national ministry, launched in 2020 by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, dedicated to supporting women who are facing pregnancy or challenging parental situations. Through this ministry at St. Julie's/St. Peter's, we have been blessed to assist 36 women and nearly 90 children since our inception in 2023. If you feel called to join this ministry, or you know of a mom or dad in need of support, please contact Ann Marie Flanagan at (440) 662-9068. Most of all we ask for your continued prayers!

A mini food pantry, also known as a "Blessing Box," is a small structure where people can donate and collect basic necessities such as nonperishable food items, toiletries, and other essential items. It's a simple and accessible way for the community to support each other by providing for those in need. If you would like to donate, the Blessing Box is located next to the parish office.

“My Daily Prayers” is a FREE daily recording of prayers led by the bishops and priests of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, delivered each day directly to your email. “My Daily Prayers” invites you to spend about 10 minutes in prayer and reflection each day and offers encouragement to enter into a deeper relationship with our Lord. In December, our 2 years of financial commitment to the Bryiovskyis ends. They are very excited to have gained their financial independence. Nadiia and Vitalii are so very grateful to all who helped them create a safe place for their children filled with love. Because of your generosity of both talent and treasure, our relationship with them continues beyond any commitment deadline. As Nadiia has said, you all have a place in their hearts forever. Any donations this month will still go toward this last month of support. In January we will provide more information about our journey together. Let us shower our little ones with prayer in a special way over the next few weeks. Our 2nd graders will make their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 2nd. These precious young ones are so excited to be able to receive Jesus in the Eucharist! Let us embrace them as a loving community.

St. Peter Parish sponsors a dinner for the community of North Ridgeville through Community Care. The dinner is provided on the last Wednesday of each month in the gym. It is served from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. All are welcome!! Next meal is Wednesday, April 29th.

All women ages 18–99 from St. Julie’s and St. Peter’s are invited to step away together for a time of rest, prayer, fellowship, and spiritual renewal at the Damascus Women’s Retreat in Centerburg, Ohio. This retreat offers an opportunity to grow in faith, deepen community, and be renewed in the truth of your identity as a beloved daughter of God. Takes place April 24–26, 2026.
